[AI-announce] AI & M.Sc. CS: Studienprojektvorstellung für WiSe 24/25 / Study project presentation for winter semester 24/25

Liebe AI-Studierende und Studierende des Master Computer Science,

in eurem Studium ist ein Studienprojekt im Umfang vom 8 CP (Bachelor AI) 
bzw. 10 CP (Master AI und CS) verpflichtend vorgesehen. Dabei sind 
Projekte in der AI zwingend als Teamarbeit durchzuführen, während 
Projekte im Master CS auch als Einzelprojekte stattfinden können.

Die Vorstellung der wählbaren Studienprojekte für das WiSe 24/25 wird ab 
dem 15.07.24 über den folgenden Moodle-Kurs erfolgen:

Ihr könnt euch ohne Passwort bereits jetzt in den Kurs eintragen, falls 
ihr im nächsten Semester ein Studienprojekt absolvieren möchtet.

Auch das komplette Bewerbungsverfahren wird über den Moodle durchgeführt 
(bitte beachtet dabei die Fristen!). Bewerbt euch nur auf Projekte, die 
auch für euren Studiengang geöffnet sind und achtet darauf, dass ihr die 
notwendigen Vorkenntnisse mitbringt.

Solltet ihr selber eine gute Idee für ein Studienprojekt haben, so 
könnte dieses ebenfalls umgesetzt werden, sofern ihr

  * einen Dozierenden (i.d.R. Professor*in) in eurem Studiengang findet,
    der das Projekt mitbetreut und prüft,
  * für AI: mindestens noch einen weiteren Studierenden findet, der das
    Projekt mit euch zusammen bearbeitet (Studienprojekte der AI sind in
    Teamarbeit durchzuführen!) und
  * mir eine Projektskizze mit einer Betreuungsbestätigung durch den
    Dozierenden (es reicht eine Mail an studienberatung-ai at rub.de) bis
    spätestens zum Ende der Bewerbungsphase, also bis zum 04.08.24, per
    Mail meldet.

Dear AI students and Master Computer Science students,

A study project of 8 CP (Bachelor AI) or 10 CP (Master AI and CS) is 
mandatory in your degree program. Projects in AI must be carried out as 
teamwork, while projects in the Master's CS can also be carried out as 
individual projects.

The presentation of the selectable study projects for WiSe 24/25 will 
take place from 15.07.24 via the following Moodle course:

You can already register for the course without a password if you would 
like to complete a study project next semester.

The complete application procedure is also carried out via Moodle 
(please note the deadlines!). Only apply for projects that are open to 
your degree program and make sure that you have the necessary prior 
knowledge.

If you have a good idea for a study project yourself, this could also be 
implemented, as long as you

  * find a lecturer (usually a professor) in your degree program who
    will supervise and review the project,
  * for AI: find at least one other student to work on the project with
    you (AI study projects are to be carried out in teamwork!) and
  * send me a project outline with a confirmation of supervision from
    the lecturer (an email to studienberatung-ai at rub.de is sufficient)
    by the end of the application phase at the latest, i.e. by 04.08.24,
    by email.
