MINT-Studentinnen als Mentorinnen gesucht
Liebe Studierende,
das Online-Mentoring-Programm CyberMentor sucht MINT-Frauen und
-Studentinnen als Mentorinnen. Unser deutschlandweit größtes
wissenschaftlich begleitetes Mentoring-Programm begeistert seit 2005
Schülerinnen erfolgreich für MINT (Mathematik, Informatik,
Naturwissenschaften und Technik) und zum Rundenstart im Oktober erwarten wir
wieder bis zu 600 motivierte Schülerinnen. Aufgrund der großartigen
Unterstützung engagierter Mentorinnen entschieden sich 62% der befragten
Teilnehmerinnen später für ein Studium oder eine Ausbildung im MINT-Bereich.
Damit wählten sie doppelt so häufig MINT wie Schülerinnen ihrer jeweiligen
Alterskohorte.
Als Mentorinnen agieren berufstätige MINT-Frauen aus Wirtschaft und
Wissenschaft sowie Studentinnen eines MINT-Fachs ab dem 3. Fachsemester und
Auszubildende ab dem 2. Ausbildungsjahr. Sie begleiten ein Jahr lang eine
Schülerin online und tauschen sich zeitlich flexibel über unsere geschützte
Online-Plattform aus.
Wie läuft das Mentoring ab?
* Online-Betreuung einer Schülerin der 5. bis 13. Klasse
* Austausch wöchentlich 30 Minuten - flexibel einteilbar
* Programmdauer ein Jahr, Teilnahme kostenfrei
* Rollenvorbild als MINT-Frau: Unterstützung bei MINT-Projekten,
Austausch zu MINT-Themen, Studium & Beruf
* Austausch viermal im Jahr mit der MINT-Fachlehrkraft Ihrer Mentee
(CyberMentor Plus)
* Schulungsvideos & hilfreiche Tipps zum Mentoring auf der Plattform

the CyberMentor online mentoring program is looking for STEM women and
students as mentors. With our programme, we are actively trying to do
something about the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields and to
inspire girls to enter the field at an early age.
We would like to ask you as course coordinators to pass on information about
the program to all interested women at your faculty who would like to help
promote young female students in STEM. Our program is primarily aimed at
female students from the STEM degree programs, but also at women working in
STEM at the faculty.
Below you will find a template for an e-mail that you are welcome to forward

Female STEM Students Wanted as Mentors
Dear Students,
the online mentoring program CyberMentor is looking for female STEM mentors.
Since 2005, our largest scientifically accompanied program in Germany has
been successfully inspiring schoolgirls for STEM (science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics). For the start of the mentoring round in
October we are again expecting up to 600 motivated female students. Due to
the great support of dedicated female mentors, 62% of the participants
surveyed later decided to study or train in the STEM field. This means they
were twice as likely to choose STEM as female students in their respective
age cohorts (31%).
Working STEM women from business and science as well as female students of a
STEM subject from the 3rd semester and trainees from the 2nd year of
training can act as mentors. They accompany a female student online for one
year and exchange ideas via our protected online platform.
How does the mentoring work?
* Online mentoring of a student from 5th to 13th grade
* Weekly exchanges of 30 minutes - flexible schedule
* Program duration one year, participation free of charge
* Role model as a STEM woman: support with STEM projects, exchange on
STEM topics, Education & career
* Exchange four times a year with your mentee's STEM teacher

* Training videos & helpful tips on mentoring on the platform.

CyberMentor program. In a 20-minute presentation, we will provide you with
