       "Hardware for Elliptic Curve Based Factorization"

Abstract

In my talk I will present a work that has been done during my four 
months as a visiting researcher in the COSY group. First I will 
introduce some basic facts about the elliptic curve factorization 
method (ECM), and motivation for its hardware implementation. An 
ALU architecture for the hardware support of ECM and the implementation
of 
algorithms for multiplication and addition/subtraction will be 
described. An important part of the talk is a presentation of 
implementation results. The talk will conclude with an outlook towards
future work.
