hosted by the University of Caen (France) on May 30 - June 1, 2005.

This second workshop on cryptology and its algorithmic aspects is
organized by the University of Caen and France Telecom Research and
Development, and is supported by the European Network of Excellence in
Cryptology ECRYPT. The aim of the workshop is to bring together
researchers working in different fields in cryptology, in order to
encourage collaborations and exchange of ideas.

The focus of CAEN'05 is twofold. It includes recent advances in
lattice-based cryptology, which was the subject of CAEN'03, and is also
dedicated to "low-cost" cryptology which is strongly related to current
needs in telecommunications and microelectronics for lightweight
cryptographic schemes. The workshop program consists of invited talks.

* Denis Simon (Université de Caen, France)
* Damien Stehlé (LORIA, France)
* Jacques Stern (Ecole normale supérieure, France)

A rump session will be held on monday evening. Prospective speakers are
invited to submit an electronic abstract on any topic related to
cryptology (to caen05 at info.unicaen.fr) by May 30.

The subject of this symposium is the Arithmetic of Curves over Finite
