Smartphone Sensoren finden in vielen Apps Verwendung, sie können u.a.
auch zur Gebäude- und Untergrund-Navigation eingesetzt werden. Obwohl
präzise Sensoren dabei von großer Bedeutung sind, ist über die
Genauigkeit von Sensoren wenig bekannt. Die Benchmark-App "SensMark"
(für Android/BlackBerry) analysiert und bewertet die Genauigkeit der
im Gerät verbauten Sensoren und vergleicht sie mit anderen Geräten.

Inertial sensors in smartphones are used by many mobile applications,
they can also be used for indoor navigation such as dead-reckoning
pedestrian tracking systems. Especially for those purposes sensors of
high accuracy are very important, though there is not much known about
the precision of such sensors. Therefore we developed a benchmark
application for Android (BlackBerry coming soon), called 'SensMark',
which analyzes and evaluates the accuracy of a sensor and compares the
results with those of other devices. You can find more information on
