SECURE COMPONENT AND SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION (SECSI) 2010
www.secsi-workshop.org
April 26-27, 2010
Cologne, Germany
The secure identification of devices, a seemingly specific problem, is a
major concern for a large number of applications. Counterfeiting of all
kinds of product – ranging from textiles over pharmaceuticals to bank
notes and replacement parts (from printer cartridges over ICs to spare
parts for heavy machinery) – make secure device identification a
pressing problem. Secure identification is also important for
applications such as access control.
The goal of the 2nd SECSI workshop is to bring together researchers and
practitioners in this emerging area. The main focus will be on technical
solutions for the problem of device identification. Thus, we invite
researchers from academia and industry as well as people from the
application areas of device identification to contribute to SECSI.
Especially welcome will be papers dealing with the following aspects:
* Physics and cryptography for device identification
* Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and device identification
* Cryptographic protocols and algorithms for device identification
* RFID and component identification
* Legal and social aspects of counterfeiting and device identification
* ...
Contributions summarizing the state-of-the-art and those with new
solutions are welcome. Should you have questions about the suitability
of your contribution for SECSI, you are welcome to contact the Program
Co-Chairs Christof Paar and Pim Tuyls at info at secsi-workshop.org. The
workshop will consist of invited and contributed presentations.
SECSI is organized by ECRYPT, the European Network of Excellence in
Cryptography. The workshop is an activity of ECRYPT's VAMPIRE – Virtual
Application and Implementation Research Lab.
Submissions
For SECSI, contributions summarizing the state-of-the-art, case studies
and those with new research results are welcome. In order to avoid
submissions to SECSI from conflicting with submissions to forthcoming or
past conferences with proceedings, there will be no formal proceedings.
(Hence, papers can be submitted to SECSI and to another
conference/workshop with proceedings). However, there will be a booklet
with all contributions that is distributed to all participants.
Submissions should not exceed 12 pages without appendices (max.15 pages
appendices). LaTeX is preferred (over MS Word) for submissions.
Submissions should be sent as PDF to: submissions at secsi-workshop.org
