Submission Deadline : Saturday, March 24, 2011
**********************************************

The RFIDSec workshop focuses on security and data-protection issues in
advanced contactless technologies like RFID and NFC. It stresses
implementation aspects imposed by resource constraints.

Submission Deadline : March 24, 2012.
Notification : May 21, 2012.
Tutorials / Workshop: 1-3 July, 2012.

TOPICS:

Topics of the workshop include but are not limited to:

   * New applications for secure RFID, NFC and other constrained systems
   * Data protection and privacy-enhancing techniques
   * Cryptographic protocols
         o Authentication protocols
         o Key distribution mechanisms
         o Scalability issues
   * Integration of secure RFID systems
         o (Public-key) Infrastructures
         o Middleware and security
         o Case studies
   * Data mining and other systemic approaches to RFID security
   * Resource-efficient implementation of cryptography
         o Small-footprint hardware and/or software
         o Low-power and/or low energy implementations
   * Attacks on RFID systems
         o Side-channel attacks
         o Fault attacks
         o Physical security
   * RFID security hardware e.g. RFID with PUF, RFID Trojans, ...
   * Case studies

* Work in progress which will be presented as a poster or during
the rump session. These will not appear in the proceedings.

WORKSHOP PROCEEDINGS:

The proceedings of RFIDSec12 will (most likely) appear in Springer's
Lecture Notes in Computer
Science. Proceedings will be sent to the attendees
after the conference. Attendees may request that their papers not appear
in the proceedings. Authors of accepted papers must complete the
copyright assignment form for their work to be published in the
proceedings, and guarantee that their paper will be presented at the
conference.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS:

The submission must be anonymous with no author names, affiliations or
obvious references. The length of the submission must be at most 12
pages excluding references and appendices (not more than 18 pages in
total).
The text should be in a single column format, in at least 11-point fonts
and
have reasonable margins. If the submission is accepted, the length of
the final
version for Springer's LNCS will be at most 20 pages including
references and appendices. The submission should begin with a title, a
short abstract, and a list of keywords. The introduction should
summarize the contributions of the paper at the level understandable
for a non-expert reader. The reviewers are not required to read
appendices - the paper should be intelligible without them. Submissions
not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of
their merits.

Submissions must not substantially duplicate work that any of the
authors has published in a journal or a conference/workshop with
proceedings, or has submitted/is planning to submit before the author
notification deadline to a journal or other conferences/workshops that
have proceedings. Accepted submissions may not appear in any other
conference or workshop that has proceedings. It is encouraged that
the submission be processed in LaTeX2e according to the instructions
listed on Springer's web site. These instructions are mandatory for
the final papers. Submitted papers must be in PDF format and should be
submitted electronically. A detailed description of the electronic
submission procedure will be announced at the conference homepage.
