[HGI-news-int] Invitation to CASA Grand Opening in Bochum

Dear sir or madam,

From**2019 on, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) will establish
the Cluster of Excellence 2092 "CASA - Cyber Security in the Age of
Large-Scale Adversaries" at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The CASA cluster
pursues the goal of enabling sustainable security against large-scale
adversaries, in particular nation-state attackers. In CASA, researchers
from the fields of computer science, cryptography, electrical
engineering, mathematics and psychology work together in a constellation
that is unique in Europe. This holistic approach of CASA is unparalleled
and holds the potential for scientific breakthroughs.

We would like to invite you to the *Grand Opening of CASA* on *March 29
2019 *( Start 3 pm)**in*Bochum*.

 

We are happy to announce the participation of Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen,
Minister of Culture and Science of the German State of North
Rhine-Westphalia, Thomas Eiskirch, Mayor of the City of Bochum, and by
Axel Schölmerich, Rector of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Furthermore the
Opening will be enriched with two keynotes by Tal Rabin, IBM T.J. Watson
Research Center, and Bart Preneel, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. The
program will be completed with a dinner.
