[SPINA] Important information for Mac users / Wichtige Informationen für Mac-Benutzer

A few days ago (and a bit earlier than expected) Apple introduced macOS 10.15 Catalina. If you are a Mac user and if this is possible for you we suggest to wait a bit with the upgrade. macOS Catalina doesn’t support any longer the deprecated Carbon API. Since SPINA Thyr for macOS is still Carbon-based it will not run on macOS 10.15.

A new Cocoa-based version is currently being developed. First tests are very positive, and an alpha version is already reliably working. There are, however, still some optimisations to do, before the final Cocoa-based version of SPINA Thyr is ready to be released. We will inform you via this list as soon as it is available.

Vor einigen Tagen (und etwas früher als erwartet) hat Apple macOS 10.15 Catalina veröffentlicht. Falls Sie einen Mac benutzen und falls das für Sie möglich ist, schlagen wir vor, mit der Aktualisierung noch ein wenig zu warten. macOS Catalina unterstützt die veraltete Carbon-Programmierschnittstelle nicht mehr. Da SPINA Thyr noch auf Carbon basiert, läuft es auf macOS 10.15 nicht.

Wir entwickeln derzeit eine neue Version auf der Basis der neuen Cocoa-Schnittstelle. Erste Tests verliefen sehr positiv, und eine Alpha-Version läuft bereits zuverlässig. Es sind jedoch noch einige Optimierungen nötig, bevor die endgültige Cocoa-basierte Version von SPINA Thyr veröffentlicht werden kann. Wir werden Sie auf dieser Liste informieren, sobald sie verfügbar ist.
