Dear Bassam:
if you want to know that material failured or not have a look at PEEQ or ACYIELD field out put , running times depends on how big your model is ? some times yes i will take days to complete if every thing be OK.
I suggest you be little bit details about your model i mean for example homw many elements or nodes it has got ? or is it 2D or 3D ? which kind of element you have used , CPE4RP , CPE8RP and so on then people can answer you question easly.

Hello
As you can see below, the time increment in my NLG plastic
Consolidation analysis (Transient Soil Step) drops dramatically and
suddenly by almost 5 orders. Is that material failure? . What can i
doif my analysis time span is in the order of 1E+08, while the time
increment after that moments seems to continue with order of 1.
This means that I need several days to complete a single analysis, if
the job doesnot abort. Please advise
