Inaugural Symposium
Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security

May 23, 2022, 3:30 pm

Ruhr-University Bochum (in-person) or via Zoom

In 2022, the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security was 
founded and will hire 12 additional professors and research groups 
within the next three years. The Center addresses the trustworthiness of 
intelligent systems, e.g., in safety-critical applications of social 
media. A unique, human-centered research approach cov­ers the entire 
interdisciplinary research of trustworthy data analytics, explainable 
machine learning, and privacy-aware algorithms. It is part of the 
Research Alliance Ruhr that was founded by the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, 
TU Dortmund University and the University of Duisburg-Essen to bundle 
their top international research on grand challenges of humankind.

To launch a lecture series, we cordially invite you to join us 
personally or virtually on May 23, 3:30 pm, for two keynotes as well as 
a presentation of the aims and scope of the research center. The 
Symposium will conclude with a poster session and a catered get 
together. This event will take place hybrid:
