Hi, you should try to use the tool "point to nurb" (https://secure.shareit.com/shareit/product.html?productid=300416869&sessionid=2427178180&random=6029e2601386266bf91c2786bd789275). It produces from abritraty distributed 3D points an IGES surface that can be imported into Abaqus CAE. Cheers Oliver
