Dear colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to the ESC2018 session S22
"Advances in understanding earthquakes in regions of distributed
deformation: from field studies to seismic hazard assessment" at the
annual meeting of the European Seismological Commission in Malta (2.-7.
Sept. 2018, http://www.escmalta2018.eu/page/home).

A key target of this session is to explore the achievements made how to
integrate physics in terms of stress and strain data into the classical
seismic hazard assessment and we are pleased to announce Eric Calais and
Stephane Mazzotti as invited speakers in our session.

The deadline for abstract submission is March 31st 2018 and we are
looking forward to receiving your abstracts and meeting you in Malta,

Susana Custodio, Michele Carafa, Marta Neres, Laurentiu Danciu, Oliver
Heidbach, Pierre Arroucau
